The Burden of Medical Credentialing

For independent medical practices and clinics, the traditional enrollment/onboarding, and maintenance of their providers' credentials can be a very time-consuming and complicated process. SWMIPA's contracts with our managed care organizations allows us to do provider initial and recredentialing for these organizations' networks and plans, an arrangement known as "Delegated Credentialing." Because SWMIPA does the credentialing 2-3 times faster than traditional enrollment, members are able to obtain an Effective Date and see their patients much sooner.
